Shaikh Sayid Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) (471-561 AH/ 1078-1165 AD) was founder of Qadiri order of Sufism in Baghdad. He was a great scholar and versatile author of many books.He revived the teachings of Islam, which spread to Syria, Egypt, Yemen and other parts of the Muslim world through his disciples. He has composed this book in praise of Prophet Muhammad (PBH), who was his ancestor too. In Kashmir this is recited in the religious gatherings held in mosques, shrines and individual homes.
