About the Author

Zahid Ahmed is a graduate of Economics from University of Pune. Being from the army background, he lived in the army hostel for 17 long years, in Pune. His debut novel ‘Beyond the Barracks’ is apparently based on his life’s experiences and endurance he faced while living with the army ambience. He is the only writer in the world to write a novel slightly against the Indian Army.

I have ordered this book from Flipkart.com, I liked all the stories in it. I enjoyed reading all the stories. The best one was The Smart Thief, my favourite story.

I have read all the stories of the book. However i liked the most is the first one: The Stolen Coin and there is a very fine story about consequences of superstition - A False Belief, that is also the mind occupying story. Good writing. Hope to read other books from the same author.

Hi, I have read all the stories of this book, the most touching one was The Smart Thief, I think it is the third story in this book.

Zahid Ahmed really writes very well, he would be the next mega writer of India, as i feel by reading his stories.
