Bangalore Book Festival: Bangalore Book Festival is an annual event, bringing over a hundred publishers and book stores from all over India to Bangalore. It is a delightful occasion and a must visit for all book-lovers in Bangalore and near by. In 2008, it was a 10 day event with over 300 stalls and an estimated 500,000 visitors. This year, Book Festival is scheduled to run from 5th Nov, 2009 to 16th Nov, 2009.
Last year, Pothi.com launched 5 of its titles during the book festival along with a book reading session and tarot card reading by Anupa Patri. Here are some pictures from the last year. This year we are going one step further and setting up a stall for all the independent and self-publishing authors on a cost sharing basis.
Benefits for upcoming authors: This is an excellent opportunity for new authors to put their work in front of a whole lot of book-lovers. Authors will get a chance to showcase their books to a large crowd of book lovers, generate sales and also gain wider visibility. For details of participation, please read below.
If you have published a title through Pothi.com or if your book is listed on Pothi.com's store, you can participate in the Bangalore Book Festival on a cost sharing basis. The more authors participate, the lower will be the charges per head.

We believe in creating a support platform for all the independent/self-published authors. So, even if you have had no past association with Pothi.com in any way, you can participate in the Book Festival through us.
To participate
- Pay a fee of Rs. 1000/- towards the common expense of taking and managing the stall. Go here to make the payment.

Please confirm availability by writing to writer@pothi.com beforehand. - 70% of the total sales of your book will go to you. After the festival is over, you can either collect the unsold copies from our office or have them shipped back at your expense or choose to have them listed on Pothi.com's online store.
