We see  Pothiz as a natural extension to our efforts of providing the young and  unheard voices a platform where they could engage, be heard, get  valuable feedback directly from their readers and flourish into  wonderful wordsmiths. While Pothi.com remains an open platform for a  variety of publishing endeavors, Pothiz is going to be a more curated  collection of creative writings. Our hope is that this collection will  encourage readers to delve into and discover the hidden gems in the  proverbial \u201clong tail\u201d of writing.<\/p>\n<p>We received close to a hundred entries and selecting a few for your  reading pleasure was not an easy task. At Pothi.com, we particularly  respect the fact the each individual has his or her own taste in reading  and writing. So, apart from the entries that made it to the main issue,  we are also going to put up some of the other entries we have received  on the website. Do read them and give your praises or constructive  feedback to the authors through comments.<\/p>\n<p>Coming to the entries included in the issue, the Featured entry \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/soul-battery\">The  Soul is a Battery<\/a>\u2019 delighted us with its interesting and novel take  on ghost stories. It entertains, it frightens and it leaves you nodding  in agreement with the feelings of the characters. We hope you enjoy it  as much as we did.<\/p>\n<p>Amongst other stories, \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/matrimonial-clock\">The  Matrimonial Clock<\/a>\u2019 will resonate particularly well with the urban  career oriented professionals. It is a story of how they have to cope  with the conflicting needs of matrimony and career. \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/thirteen-hours-fame\">Thirteen  Hours of Fame<\/a>\u2019, \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/practical-lessons\">Practical  Lessons<\/a>\u2019 and  \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/idiot\">The idiot<\/a>\u2019  are the stories about the opportunism, the hypocrisy, the good and the  bad in common people \u2013 just like you and me.<\/p>\n<p>While \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/barberic-times\">Barberic  Times<\/a>\u2019 and \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/god-promise\">God  Promise<\/a>\u2019 are there to tickle you, \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/goodbye-mrs-boa\">Goodbye  Mrs. Boa<\/a>\u2019 is a sweet, but profound tribute to Boa Sr., the last  speaker of Bo Language in Andaman islands. She died earlier this year.  Other poems \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/citys-seasons\">City\u2019s  seasons<\/a>\u2019, \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/elegy\">Elegy<\/a>\u2019,  \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/divine-sisterhood\">Divine  Sisterhood<\/a>\u2019, \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/%E0%A4%AC%E0%A5%87%E0%A4%9F%E0%A5%80-%E0%A4%B9%E0%A5%8B%E0%A4%A8%E0%A5%87-%E0%A4%95%E0%A4%BE-%E0%A4%A6%E0%A4%B0%E0%A5%8D%E0%A4%A6\">\u092c\u0947\u091f\u0940  \u0939\u094b\u0928\u093e \u0915\u093e \u0926\u0930\u094d\u0926<\/a>\u2019 (The Pain of being a Daughter\/Girl, Hindi) and &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/%E0%A4%B8%E0%A5%82%E0%A4%A8%E0%A4%BE-%E0%A4%AC%E0%A4%9A%E0%A4%AA%E0%A4%A8\">\u0938\u0942\u0928\u093e  \u092c\u091a\u092a\u0928<\/a>&#8216; (Empty Childhood, Hindi) touch on the various stories,  pleasures and pains of our human existence. \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/oops-i-made-you-daddy\">Oops!  I made you a Daddy<\/a>\u2019 is a cute, little autobiography by a day old  baby (ghost written by his father).<\/p>\n<p>Finally, as you all battle with the fever of Football, do not forget to  read the <a href=\"http:\/\/pothi.com\/pothi\/magazine\/issue\/july-2010\/inverting-pyramid-%E2%80%93-jonathan-wilson\">review  for \u2018Inverting the Pyramid\u2019 by Jonathan Wilson<\/a>. The book provides  an interesting insight into how the gameplay has evolved over time and  how the game is not just about the magical players!<\/p>\n<p>We hope you enjoy the collection.
