It is observed in the month of \u2018Karkidakam\u2019, which refers to the monsoon season between July to August. Dr. Sukumar&#8217;s book <a href=\"https:\/\/store.pothi.com\/book\/dr-sukumar-canada-ramayana-30-days\/\">Ramayana in 30 Days<\/a> is an English translation of this Kilipattu or bird song, thereby making it accessible to non-Malayalam readers as well.<\/p>\n<p>Krishnakumar T K simplifies the Ramayana in seven editions of the work\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/store.pothi.com\/book\/krishnakumar-t-k-ramayana-simplified-part-1\/\">Ramayana Simplified.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Geeta Kasturi is a scholar and author who compares the poetic renditions of the Ramayana.
