HOW THIS BOOK CAME TO BE: This story book: ‘Little Monkey’s Birth Day’ was a birthday gift from Manikya’s parents for his sixth birthday in August 2014. Manikya expressed interest to share his gift with all other children, and so it has been made into a book. The illustrations are original works of Anjali Sanghi with pastels on eco friendly Auroville paper. It has been created with reverence from the perspective of a mother illustrating a story book for her child to enjoy and cherish as a gift for years to come. Manikya’s Birth Days are now celebrated drawing inspiration from Waldorf inspired Birth Day stories, songs, verses and celebrations. This story book takes it a step forward to also introduce Mother Nature’s gifts: fruits and vegetables as delicious, innovative healthy raw vegan party dishes. It empowers kids with creative imagination and develops deep connection with nature, animals and fellow beings.

This book will inspire not only the child but the parents too, as it teaches to perceive this human life in the right perspective. And I am immensely happy to meet Manikya and Anjali, who promote raw foods for children and adults. With Love and Thanks

This delightful little book is more of a true story than meets the eye. Monkeys in nature know how to eat healthy and hence rarely fall sick. If we follow their lifestyle, we too can regain our health. What better way to make a cake than with just pure fruits?

So much love and joy shared with all of us through this soulfully illustrated book. It is a wonderful little colourful, meaningful and powerful book for kids and may help the child friendly schools. Very refreshing and artistic, which every child will enjoy and be happy again and again, Thanks to Manikya and his parents.

This book is an inspiration to parents and children. The illustrations are magical to break away from the mental block of what a true celebration of a birth day means. You have redefined it with love and compassion, support on how to do it. Will be nice to upgrade to this, than the current birthday party and wasteful money burnt which could be used for helping needy children around the globe. With love to you and all the beautiful readers.
