This book on Consumer Protection Act is written with the intention of making aware thousands of consumers who are unaware of their rights as consumers and are not able to get justice because of their ignorance about the areas covered under Consumer Protection Act, the procedure to drag the service providers to court. The author has no legal background and it is because of his firm resolve to fight against corruption and dishonesty prevalent amongst some of the businessmen and companies that this book is prepared .it is Authors earnest desire and request from legal experts to provide guidance and support to further refine the contents of the book. Author humbly pray to legal experts not to challenge my humble attempt aimed purely to provide little guidance to consumers who have no legal background and are unaware of their rights as consumer. The legal insight is provided by extracting the relevant clauses from the CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 1986 and live cases are appended in the book to make the Consumers understand the procedure as to how to file the case in the Consumer Court. The last case annexed in this book is being filed in the District Consumer Forum, Raipur after taking minute legal guidance from legal experts. The case against Bangalore Builder was sent to the Hon. Consumer Forum and Builder yielded once he was informed the Forum would admit the case. In other cases mere threat of going to consumer court forced the opposite parties to accept the just demand. The author is confident that this book will benefit thousands of consumers and bring revolution. There is no need to engage Advocates to fight the case. The consumers themselves can argue in the Consumer Court. This will save money and exploitation by Advocates few of whom are unethical in their profession.
