This book is an allegory based on the experiences of six astronauts. Instead of focussing more on the adventures and thrills of space missions, 'Earth misses you a lot' sketches the emotional trauma that an astronaut has to go through when sent on a long space mission. A key question that the book will ask you is whether you are strong enough to hold on if you experience the same pain. Our emotions and memories can be considered one of the most precious treasures but the harsh space can make you devoid of these treasures if you are not strong.
Reading through the chapters, you can easily notice a gradual change in the thinking of every astronaut but you must put yourself in their position and ask yourself- What is your most precious thing that you will miss the most if sent on the same mission? How long can you survive without it? And will you be able to motivate yourself just by the feeble memories of that precious thing?
