Description

It was the Salwa kingdom with its capital city Abanti. It was ruled by the great king Dyumatsen, son of Maharaj Sursen. Dyumatsen was married with princess Abantika. He was a religious person. He treated all his subjects as his son.
The beautiful city of Abanti was situated by the side of a river Betravati. It was one of the nature’s fiercest rivers of that time. It flooded the whole river bank every year and made the land fertile. Though it was one of the fiercest rivers but it didn’t create any havoc to the city. The flood plain area was under control of the king and it was used for cultivation in the winter.
The palace of Abanti kingdom was as beautiful as the palace of Madra kingdom. It was a five storied building. It occupied an area of one square kilometer and the complete building was standing only on five huge pillars. The pillars were crafted with the design of tigers and lions. The floor was made up of colorful marble stone. The doors and windows didn’t have closing panels. But it had beautiful curtains. The main door of the palace was guarded by two sepoys and anybody wanted to enter the palace had to show their identity. In those days in the kingdom of Dyumatsen, identity cards were issued in a small square light gold plate with the name of the respective person and the royal seal inscribing in it. There were two huge statues of lion in the main entrance of the city and a temple of Lord Vishnu. Maharaj Dyumatsen had only twelve members in his assembly with Rajguru Indrasen and Mahamantri Jaychandra.
