My Neighbour Lucy

Description

Stories begin to unfold when people and animals meet. "My Neighbour Lucy" is a collection of twelve such 'almost true' stories. Most animals are real, but some are 'almost real.' There is science. there is adventure and lots of fun in these stories. Children of 10-15 age group will enjoy these stories, but adults are allowed to enjoy too.

About the Author

Capt. Suneel Sule sailed on the high seas for 25 years and visited 65 countries before settling down ashore. After completing higher studies he took up teaching at Lal Bahdur Shastri College of Advanced Maritime Studies and Research. At present he is the Program Head for navigation at the training institute of a renowned ship management company.
Besides writing in English for children, Suneel Sule also writes science fiction in Marathi and poetry in Hindi and Marathi. He is an amateur artist and photographer with 5 shows of his photo exhibition “Images of China” to his credit.

Very well written stories, wonderful blend of animals' existence into human lives. Read the whole book in one go, that's how interesting it was for a 'non-reader'. :-)
Special mention of the attractive illustrations, good job Ishani.

What a range of imagination! The author shows tremendous creativity and presents amazing stories. Perfect blend of science and storytelling style. Superbly complemented by the illustrations.

The best story? Hmm - difficult to pick just one. I'll go with "Caged" and "Polar Leaf".

It is not easy to write stories that will appeal children as well as adults. This book shows that it is possible :) Hats off to Captain!

I was amazed at the wonderful imagination of the writer and the way in which he can transfer the reader into a far away land of fantasy. The stories are fairy tales and yet they have a ring of truth and learning. Simply Marvelous!
