In a single line, ‘Hey Neighbor!’ is a story about first love.

Most Indian-English authors explore love from the male point of view and most stories revolve around how the guy chased the girl and what followed suit. Only a few noted books have ventured into a story where the girl does not come off as a confused being that the guy could never understand and please.

‘Hey Neighbor!’ is about the average south-Indian girl, Shruthi and her one-of-a-kind neighbor, Gautham.

Unlike most novels in India, ‘Hey Neighbor!’ is intended to be released in four volumes.

The first volume follows how Shruthi, a shy girl who was born and brought up in Chennai, decides to go to Bangalore for her first job. It is there, that she meets Gautham, the not-so-ordinary guy, who happens to be her neighbor. Gautham is everything that Shruthi is not and every day she learns something from him. She learns how to live life from him, how to take risks, how to be crazy and also… how to fall in love.
The volume centers mostly around how their friendship and how she falls in love with him
