Kashmir Valley is seeing the start of the surge of militancy. The warnings to the Kashmiri Pandits to leave the valley, so as to save their lives are becoming shriller. The docile and snow clad valley starts taking the hue of red as the warnings become violent. Amidst the pandemonium are six friends stuck and their bond is about to be broken, as the less fortunate amongst them will be leaving the valley in haste. The story starts in troubled and unfortunate 1990s of Kashmir when 'ethnic cleansing' finished the lives of lakhs of Kashmiri Hindus.
The six friends, separated by destiny, start their individual lives in unfamiliar and often challenging environments. Will they overcome their challenges and save their Kashmiri origins, remains to be seen. The cup of flavoured tea delightfully known as Kahwa currently remains empty.
