Self-inquiry is a direct approach to truth without involving thought.All religions are thought based and so they perpetuate ignorance.In self-inquiry there is heightened awareness in form of witnessing conscious whose nature is to reflect the things "as they really are".This type of observation has its own action and the mind mind is transformed radically.So let us do self-inquiry and wean away from self activity which is bringing lot of problems to humanity. The other methods are thought based and indirect. Ramana Maharshi advised only self-inquiry to the aspirants of truth.
