About the Author

Priya Kapur is a dynamic aesthetician and a respected hair & make-up designer, who began her journey working as a freelance make-up artist in 2005. She has styled for some of the biggest magazines, events and fashion shows in India.
Developing on her natural flair as a stylist, she acquired finesse in her craft through several courses and training programs with leading experts. These include a distinction in the City N Guilds NVQ - Levels 2 & 3 in Hairdressing Skills, the Basic Certificate Course in Hairdressing in affiliation with Wella from Nalini n Yasmin Academy, several Certificate and Diploma courses through the L’Oreal Training Centre in Mumbai, as well as the Basic Professional Make-up Course with Nalini n Yasmin Academy ... just to name a few.
Priya went on to study fashion, media & television make-up from Marvie Beck and attended several workshops with Kryolan on ‘High Definition & Airbrush Make-up’. She says she has learnt as much from her training with experts as she has on the job; having handled varied and challenging assignments each day. Her professional repertoire as a stylist includes covers and features for magazines like Elle India, Jade, India Today, The Seventeen India Magazine, JCK Luxury Magazine, Beautiful People, Brides Now, My World, etc. She has worked with the Make-up Forever brand to implement make-up for the beauty queens of Pantaloon Femina Miss India 2009.
Ask her what kind of make-up she enjoys doing most, and she’ll say “Brides any day!” Priya has a unique quality of being able to actuate ‘the dream look’ for every bride she works with. She has worked on brides from various communities in her 9 years of specialised bridal styling.Today Priya Kapur draws upon her years of training and hands-on experience, as well as insights & practical make-up tricks inspired by the many brides she has styled over the years, for her first book Bridal Diaries. Her ease with her craft & technique and her understanding of bridal clients, form the basis of this personal bridal manual of sorts.
