A Post Graduate in Economics from Ravenshaw College (now Ravenshaw University). He has vast experiences in a career spanning over three decades and also completed several short duration formal training / certificate courses in many institutes of repute, both inside and outside India, covering a very wide-ranging topics / disciplines.

He has authored nine Books viz., (1) ‘Practical Aspects of Financing under IRDP’ (1998), (2) ‘In My Efforts to Reach YOU’ (2003), (3) ‘May YOU be My Eternal Teacher’ (2004), (4) ‘From the Garden of My Life’ (2005), (5) ‘A Bouquet for YOU’ (2005, 2006), (6) ‘As I picked up here & there’ (2008), (7) ‘Of Moods & Musings’ (2008), (8) ‘A Potpourri of Varied Voices’ (2011) and (9) 'My Zo Ram Posts' (2013) (All Private Publication).
