Description of "Third Button"

Aahan, a shy and homesick boy, travels with his Dad, all the way from Shimla to Rourkela in a bus followed by a train journey; On his way, he remembers mother’s love, sister’s teasing, and observes fellow travelers’ idiosyncrasies.
The Joy of joining a reputed Engineering college is short-lived, as he experiences bullying by the seniors and realizes that the hostel is confinement of locked gates where he must put up with a group of fellow batchmates in an enforced association. The resentment soon turns into a simmering desire for revenge on a ruthless senior, Sandhu.
A birthday celebration turned into a nightmare followed by vandalizing of town adds to his woes as now the future is also at stake.
The quirky boys who were initially obligated to stay together have now become friends and they lighten up every adverse situation through infectious laughter and unending bantering.
The charming Sanaa and the bubbly Rinki like the breath of fresh air bring joy initially but the circumstances soon turn into an emotional roller-coaster. And then the masterplan of cheating and the tough luck with placement. Misery reloaded.

Battling with the true meaning of success and failure, amidst the deep emotions evoked by love and hate, does Aahan finally learn the lesson of life?
