Shiksha or the science of pronunciation is one of the usually neglected branches of Sanskrit language studies. Grammar and conversational practice often take precedence over the study of Shiksha. Being a pure phonetic language, Sanskrit demands accurate pronunciation of the letters. Shiksha is a science with well-defined rules and no ambiguity.
