You might have noticed that the store at Pothi.com is now operational. In days to come we are going to work on marketing it aggressively. As self-publishers, you should also brace up to market and promote your books to your prospective audience. Here are some of the simple things you can do
- Create a website or a blog of your own, if you don't already have one. You can use the various free services for the same. Some examples of the free services are Blogger and Wordpress.com. Put in sample content from your book (or even the complete content if you wish) on this site/blog. This will help readers assess if they want to buy your book. Do not forget to link to your book listed on the Pothi.com store.
- Include the link to your book's listing in your e-mail signature.
- Tell people about your book on the e-groups you are subscribed to. This could include your school/college/batch/organization e-groups.
- Put a link to your book's listing on your social network profiles e.g. on Orkut and Facebook.
