She obtained M.Ch. degree in Paediatric Surgery form the renowned Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai in the year 2006. Currently she has been a practicing child surgeon & Assistant Professor - Paediatric Surgery at the B.J. Government Medical College & Sassoon General Hospitals, Pune , India . She has successfully managed many children inflicted with child abuse related injuries & has taken up the cause of prevention of child sexual abuse. The booklet especially drafted by her for parental / public education on prevention of child sexual abuse is first ever effort by an Indian surgeon, with actual experience in managing these cases.
