Dr.Ashokan Kannarath presently working as a vice-principal in Dr. Padmabhushan Vasantraodad Patil College, Kavathe Mahankal, Sangli, Maharashtra. He completed PhD from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in cytopathology of ageing. He completed his graduation and post-graduation form Calicut University, Calicut, Kerala. He has 27 years of teaching experience in zoology and bioinformatics. He has in credit 31 scientific articles published in international and national journals with impact factor. He attended many national and international seminar, symposium and workshops. He has three books in his credit, published by Macmillan, India and foreign publisher and one local publisher. He was awarded as "Best Teacher" in 2005-2006 for "quality and excellence in Academia". He completed course in bioinformatics and computer technology and recently honoured member of biology Sri Lanka, by Institute of Biology Sri Lanka (IOB).
