Indian Association of Energy Management Professionals (IAEMP) is a group of energy professionals thriving for a sole objective of working towards making India Energy Independent by 2022.

The idea of bringing high level expertise of energy managers and professionals to a common platform budded in Jan, 2006 with Mr. S.K.Sood (present President of Association) taking lead in seeking unification of energy professionals throughout India on 26 Jan, 2006, the day India celebrates its Republic Day. The formation of Association was formally announced in Feb, 2006. Finally, the Association was registered in Hyderabad in Sep, 2006, with administrative office at Bangalore.

With a humble start from 16 energy conscious experts joining hands, the idea soon became a revolution all over India and today IAEMP boasts of being a strong association of more than 150 Energy managers/ auditors/ professionals.

IAEMP has experts of varying age groups from 25 years to 70 years, thus providing the association all the necessary elements required i.e. Knowledge, Energy, Dynamism and Commitment. The members are also from variety of sectors. Some of the members are having almost 20-25 years of experience in the field of energy audits, some members are self-employed, some are in services to government sector, some are in CDM projects and some are business consultants.

The Association members have been actively involved in promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energy since inception. Many of our members were invited to give talks/presentations in National Seminars/ Radio & TV Programmes etc. on energy conservation. We are also regularly participating in Exhibitions on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. Many of our members are regularly writing articles for Technical magazines/Newspapers, etc.
